Mail troubles atop the flu

Just a quick note to all that in the middle of having a pretty horrible 4+ day flu, apparently my main mailbox has actually hit it’s size limit, and my ISP has been rejecting messages. Apologies to all, although I can’t be sure when I’ll be feeling well enough to actually read the messages I have gotten. Sigh.

Now to figure out how to get ezmlm to send back the bounces it claims it couldn’t get through (now that I’ve pruned and copied locally a ton of stuff).

  • http://www.google.com/a/ , unless you really enjoy mailserver administration.

  • Since Apache James has been so neglected I finally gave up on running my own mail server. For $50 a year no-ip will run the e-mail for your domain without affecting any web server you might have running on it. They are also sensible and will let you have as many e-mail ids as you like. (I hate when they restrict you to 5 or 20. WTF? Namespace isn’t a resource to be conserved!) They do have a cumulative server space limit. But since I download all my mail anyway it hasn’t affected me.
